The Writer's Center
When the Writer's Center at Coastal Carolina Community College was opened, I was tasked with spreading the word to students and faculty. Below are many of the designs I have created to do so since 2018.
As the Writer's Center Coordinator for Coastal Carolina Community College, my primary job was to oversee the daily functions of the Writer's Center; however, I also wrote and designed training and promotional materials such as training manuals, website content, written and visual instructions, video tutorials, and print marketing materials.

I worked with the college's graphic designer on some materials, but the ones here were created by me. Because I researched, planned, and opened the inaugural Writer's Center at Coastal, I also created the brand.
Coastal doesn't have clearly defined school colors, but a dark blue (HEX #016396) is used across the college's visual platform. I added a pale yellow (HEX #ffde59) to differentiate the Writer's Center from other Coastal services and give our brand a positive presence. Additionally, we are a coastal community, so I built off of this by adding oceanic backgrounds for our print marketing to present a consistent Writer's Center brand across our promotional and instructional materials.

This poster appears outside the Writer's Center's physical space to assist students with making appointments when the WC is closed and no one is physically there to help them.

"We're Looking For You!"
Since the pandemic, the WC has struggled to find a work study to perform secretarial duties, and many students were confused about the qualifications to apply, so I created an eye-catching advertisement for this.

I chose the most influential direct quotes from our student surveys to create a promotional flyer highlighting our clients' experiences with the different types of tutoring the WC offers.

This is another sign that appears outside of the Writer's Center's physical space. Because in-person appointments are not accepted in the evenings, I created this to inform students about our virtual evening services.
