About
I love how thoughtful design can provide new perspectives. Designing to simplify interactions, change focus, or just add a little fun changes the impact designers can have on an audience.

I am a long-time educator and graphic artist, but I've recently discovered new passions in writing and UX design. I’m a jack of many trades and a master of some, including visual design and various types of writing. My passions lie outside–in the woods, mountains, and rivers–and that’s what influences my design. Life is already so complicated--I’d like to simplify what I can for people.
I hold a MA in English, a BFA in Graphic Design, and a Minor in Journalism. As a college-level English instructor and writing center coordinator. I provided my online classes with organized material in an easily navigable learning platform, and I created simple online and in-person user experiences for my writing center clients based on user research.
Along with informal UX design, I functioned as a content writer, copywriter, technical writer, and graphic artist as the Writer's Center Coordinator where I wrote and designed marketing content, training materials, and website content. I also created the Writer's Center brand and promoted our services across the college.
I thrive in fast-paced environments where I am challenged to create things to improve services, better user experiences, or promote products or events. I am quick to try new approaches and styles, and I love learning new things and developing my skill set.
